Day 22 of #TakeBackPride celebrates children's author Jacqueline Wilson. She has written over 100 highly popular books to date but is of course best known for her Tracy Beaker series.
She publicly revealed in 2020 that she had been living with her partner Trish for many years.
She has been heavily criticised for her comments on minors transitioning. She outlined her worry at minors being given hormones and the risks of gender reassignment surgery. Like many who mention the topic of detransitioning, she has been chastised on social media.
The Tavistock scandal and the experience of some of our members have given vindication to Wilson's statements.
