What to Expect

Safeguarding Youth from Gender Lies

Examining the system that has led many Irish children down a troubling path—from education policies that create fear and confusion in schools to the role of LGBTQ+ youth groups in further isolating them, encouraging social transition, and ultimately pushing them toward ‘affirmative medical treatments’. We’ll discuss how these pathways have resulted in referrals to the now-disgraced Tavistock & Portman Gender Clinic, and what the Cass Report’s findings mean for the future of safeguarding in Ireland. This discussion will shed light on how systemic changes have shaped young lives—and what needs to change.

The Good, the Bad and the GRA

In 2015, while Ireland celebrated the same-sex marriage referendum, the Gender Recognition Act (GRA) was quietly passed with little to no public consultation. This has had far-reaching consequences—allowing self-ID policies that put men in women’s prisons and challenge safeguarding protections. But is repeal possible? This panel will break down the legal and political pathways to rolling back the GRA, the obstacles ahead, and what needs to happen to push for change. Join us for a crucial discussion on taking action.

No Country for Free Speech

In the modern era of totalitarianism, people, particularly women, face death threats for stating biological facts, for saying “no” to men, or are labelled as ‘far-right’ for merely holding centrist views. Free speech is being suffocated—not just by governments, but by peers, through cancellations, doxing, and fear. How do you speak out when the price is so high? Why is it crucial to defend free speech now more than ever? This panel will explore how young adults are navigating this landscape, using their voices to challenge the silence imposed on those who cannot speak for themselves.

The Survivors of Transgenderism

Beyond the rhetoric, real lives have been upended by gender ideology. This discussion will explore the profound impact on those who have been pushed down a medicalized path, lost opportunities, or been silenced for questioning the narrative. From lesbians and gay men drawn into gender ideology to partners left behind as a loved one chose to ‘transition’, this panel will shed light on the personal toll of an ideology that demands unquestioning acceptance. Join us for a powerful conversation on what has been lost—and what can be done to challenge this system.

Chemsex, Love and Other Drugs

Chemsex—the use of highly addictive drugs like methamphetamine in sexual settings—is being dangerously normalized and framed as "just part of gay culture." This messaging pressures younger and newly ‘out’ gay men into believing that participation is a rite of passage, a way to fit in, or the only path to connection and community. But behind this illusion lies a devastating reality of addiction, overdose, serious injury, and even death. This segment will confront the harmful narrative that "this is just what gay men do", exposing the real risks and the urgent need to push back before more lives are lost.

Million Dollar Baby

This discussion will challenge the harmful narrative that surrogacy is a human right for gay people, exposing the reality of child purchasing and the exploitation of women. We will confront the disturbing idea that gay rights include the entitlement to commodify women’s bodies and treat children as products. The discussion will highlight the ethical and moral issues with framing surrogacy as a right, and call for policies that reject the harmful practice of surrogacy as a solution to create families, and instead focus on protecting the rights and dignity of women and children.

All Quiet on the TQ Front

Join veterans of the gay rights movement, who fought for equality when being gay was illegal, as they reflect on the dramatic shift in the struggle for same-sex attracted people. What began as a fight for basic rights and marriage equality has now transformed into an internal battle, where LGB voices are being silenced and many are being pressured into transitioning. In this powerful discussion, these pioneers of the movement will speak out on how the fight has changed—and why the very people who fought for equality are now facing erasure within their own community.
